What I like the most about being at the Home is to play with the groups that come to visit us. I like hanging out with the teachers during our extracurricular activities. I like playing with our dorm mom and I like helping the guys that do all the maintenance for the Home and learn how to repair stuff.

NATANAEL'S STORY

nathanaels_photo

My name is Cesar Natanael Miramontes Dominguez and I want to tell you a little bit of my story and connection to Emmanuel.

We grew up in a home with many problems. My father did not respect my mother. There was physical and psychological abuse, which often turned violent toward my mother and us children. Finally, my mother decided to take us and run away from my father.

It was a difficult situation; we were too young to understand. Life seemed very unfair to me and I began to be very angry at life.

My mom heard of a place called Emmanuel Children’s Home, and she decided to move from Chihuahua city where we lived, to Ciudad Juarez to find this place where she heard they would help us.

Being at Emmanuel Children’s Home changed my life and broke a generational curse of violence and abandonment in my family through love, care and safety. I learned so many things there, that now, as an adult, I apply in my daily life and business, but most importantly, in my marriage and in my role as a father.

Today I have the opportunity and privilege to be the director at “The Home”. I desire transformation, restoration, and hope for each one of the children that are here now. It is my turn to care and to give back some of what I received through Emmanuel.

I am grateful to serve and have the opportunity to see the lives of children and families changed and restored to a bright future.

Join me, let’s change children’s lives together!

THE ORTEGA'S FAMILY STORY

Diego, Esmeralda and Diana Marlene, came to Emmanuel Children’s Home over 10 years ago when they were only 3, 4 and 5 years old. Today Diego is a Radiology Technician, thanks to Emmanuel Ministries and his sponsor who continued to support him financially until he finished his studies last summer. We are so proud of Esmeralda: she just graduated from law school last summer. Her dedication, vision and work ethic landed her an internship to work in the offices of the judicial authorities in our city. Diana Marlene is a student of interior design. Her teachers see a very promising future because of her dedication, natural talent, vision and work ethic. We are so proud of Diego, Esmeralda and Diana Marlene and we thank God for the opportunity to have been part of their growth and development.
