NATANAEL'S STORY

My name is Cesar Natanael Miramontes Dominguez and I want to tell you a little bit of my story and connection to Emmanuel.
We grew up in a home with many problems. My father did not respect my mother. There was physical and psychological abuse, which often turned violent toward my mother and us children. Finally, my mother decided to take us and run away from my father.
It was a difficult situation; we were too young to understand. Life seemed very unfair to me and I began to be very angry at life.
My mom heard of a place called Emmanuel Children’s Home, and she decided to move from Chihuahua city where we lived, to Ciudad Juarez to find this place where she heard they would help us.
Being at Emmanuel Children’s Home changed my life and broke a generational curse of violence and abandonment in my family through love, care and safety. I learned so many things there, that now, as an adult, I apply in my daily life and business, but most importantly, in my marriage and in my role as a father.
Today I have the opportunity and privilege to be the director at “The Home”. I desire transformation, restoration, and hope for each one of the children that are here now. It is my turn to care and to give back some of what I received through Emmanuel.
I am grateful to serve and have the opportunity to see the lives of children and families changed and restored to a bright future.
Join me, let’s change children’s lives together!
THE ORTEGA'S FAMILY STORY

I am Diana Marlene and now I will tell you a little about how I have become the best version of myself: a great woman with millions of dreams. It all started when I was a little girl, my single mom without support from her family, with three children around the same age had to work but could not find where we could be cared for and educated in the best way. She wanted to teach us about the love of God and values that we could carry throughout our lives. Someone mentioned Hogar de Niños Emmanuel and my mom went to find out. I am grateful that there is a place where children with family and economic problems like we had have the opportunity to aspire to bigger things in life.
Being at the Home, even at three years old, I realized that my circumstances would not prevent me from fulfilling my destiny. Today I am at the University and very proud of the foundation I had at Emanuel Children’s Home. One of my many dreams is that I have the opportunity to go back to Emmanuel and return everything they have given me. I hope every person who can see this information helps so that more children can see the other side of the coin in the same way that I did. Maybe I never personally met the people who supported my time at Emmanuel and supported me through school and personal education, but there is a huge thank you in my heart for each one of you and God knows.
Diana Marlene

In my family, my mom and my two sisters and I grew up without a father figure. My mom looked for help thinking about our futures. This was when we came to the Home, a blessing, a place that supports families in the circumstances we were in. There are many families without a father or mother and in poverty, but the Home opens its doors and gives opportunities, which thanks to God I could take. Today I am a Radiologist and have Christian principles and values in my life that both my mother and the Home instilled in me as a child. I thank God for my mother and Emmanuel Children’s Home for what I have accomplished to this day. God’s hand has been on my family and I want to say: Thank you Emmanuel Ministries for your work, which is not easy, but you have been doing the same thing for more than 50 years. My prayer is that God blesses Emmanuel Ministries through your support. The most important thing, in my opinion, is that the Home can continue to guide children in God’s wisdom and covering.

Having been at Emmanuel Children’s Home is one of the favorite parts of my life. A year ago, with the support of the Home I graduated from law school. I now work as a lawyer in Cd. Juarez Judicial offices as I pursue my Masters. One of my goals is to be a judge in Mexico and be a blessing for my country. This is something Brother Josue used to teach us all the time: “You are the future, you can change Mexico” and that is what I intend to do with God’s help.
